Introduction and Academic Achievements of Gong Xiaokang

Gong Xiaokang was born in Linshui, Sichuan Province in 1972. In 2005, he graduated from Sichuan University with a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Now he is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Philosophy of Guizhou University, vice president of Guizhou University Press, academic leader and famous teacher of Guizhou University, and leader of provincial innovation team of Yangming Cultural Transformation and Application Research. He is also the executive director of the International Federation of Yi Studies, the Executive director of the Chinese Society of Epistemology, the vice president of Yangming Study Doctrine Society of Guizhou Province, and the member of the Academic Committee of the major cultural project of Yangming Culture Transformation and Application of Guizhou Province.

 He presided over the National Social Science Fund project “Emptiness and Deconstruction”, “A Study of the Epistemology of Wang Yangming’s Philosophy”, the Ministry of Education's Humanities and social Science Research planning project “Research on Multiple Religions in Qingshuijiang River Basin from the perspective of Cultural Symbiosis - with Qingshuijiang writ as the center”, and Guizhou Province Excellent Science and Technology Talents Governor special Fund Project “A Study of the Literature Value of Qingshuijiang Documents”.He has published a Collection of Wang Yangming's Annual Records, Integration and Penetration -- Research on Zhixu's Thought, and Translation and analysis of OuYi's commentary on the Four Books.

 He has published academic papers in journals such as Philosophical Research, Philosophical Trends, and History of Chinese Philosophy. His research achievements   won the first prize of the 14th Excellent Achievement Award of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Guizhou Province and the first prize of the Excellent Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences Research in the 4th Guizhou Province Higher Education Institutions.


Research field :Yangming's mind, the relationship between three religions, and the comparison of Chinese and Western philosophy.
